  • This is the a really dumb tool. Yes, if oil and gas wasn’t dirt cheap, (Water, in a grocery store is more expensive.) The videos are great, the narrative sequence, with the dog, first and last and the drone footage with appropriate music, and the minutiae of the work. Pity, those poor basterds sitting in cubicles staring at screens, (then again, they never have to deal with cold hands.) People today have an aversion to discomfort of any kind. Wear hearing protection more! (I’m cringing, lost half my hearing, and it sucks.) Get some wheel buds and a jack rig and move houses, forget the firewood.

  • I bought a vertical splitter finally, after cutting wood for 25 years, and now having a broken back, I'm still trying to bust up these big monster rounds 20-50 inches across. Idk why I torture myself like this. I busted up two rounds the other day and was in so much agony I almost passed out. But firewood doesn't split itself, and I opted to spend a grand on a splitter instead of my next 2-3 years of firewood. What I'd give to have something like this. I'm using the vertical to bust into smaller pieces, and then I bust that down into pieces that are manageable, or kindling, with a small electric splitter. It's much quieter and nice to have whenever I need more kindling to start a fire. I have a boom with a 8k winch on the back of my truck and grapple tongs which allows me to get all the free firewood no one else wants to touch. If I can't be cutting firewood at least I can watch you cut it. And it gives me some motivation to get out there and keep pushing myself. Looks like I need to invest in bigger equipment. Work smarter, not harder.

Just a suggestion as to the usage of stumps instead of cutting them... they can be given to any wood turner to make lovely bowls or whatever he fancies... keep up the good work and best for your castle 👍

  • A new use for tires is "mechanical concrete" but the tire needs to be intact - no log splitter damage. Mechanical Concrete® is a breakthrough, patent protected, construction technology. It utilizes a cylinder made from waste auto tires to confine and integrate crushed stone, or other natural and recycled aggregates, into a permanent stone building unit. The result is a strong, economical construction and maintenance product for low volume roads.

  • No not Christmas but it's good to see someone who is not scared to get his hands dirty and is willing to talk about what he is doing and takes the time to move the camera to a spot where he can show what he is doing some of the things he does is all self-taught which is the way I learnt to sort things for the prices the people were charging over the top so he buys what he needs once he has sorted out what is wrong with his machines and tells you how to and show's you fair enough he tells you when he makes a mistake and he is like 99% of us who fix our own stuff and hate the computer component for you can't get into them the more he puts on youtube the more there is to watch.
