  • That construction seems so strange to me. I don't understand why you would design a building that way.(but I am not an architect) but anyways well edited video and very interesting to watch as always.

    acidtreat101acidtreat10129 kun oldin
    • Because its a cheap way to get a large building with no interior support columns. I just built something for myself and went a different route.

  • I feel like you should check the injector spray patterns. This thing is pretty smokey

  • It looks like one or two is missing in the beginning. Right after the Wall. Whats the reason for that?

    Andreas BerglundAndreas Berglund2 oy oldin
    • I guess a staircase? Though I wonder about the height of the walls, it feels to high for a single floor but to low for two

  • Andrew, this building fascinates me. I once specialised in putting attics inside existing roof spaces. Is there any likely hood you can point me to the builder of this building so I can see some updated pics?

    Independent PartsIndependent Parts2 oy oldin
  • Did you consider using your crane for this project?

    rustrtalrustrtal2 oy oldin
    • My crane is difficult to move, plus the trusses were too far away from the building. This was the right machine for the job.

  • Yesterday I was watching an Andrew Camarata video when suddenly a notice appeared that said, “Do you want to continue being subscribed to Andrew Camarata. Disregard or Unsubscribe”? Of course I pushed disregard. That sort of notice has never appeared before. I pretty much only watch Andrew Camarata videos. Is someone trying to undercut Andrew Camarata?

  • Look at this, two scissor lifts and a lull... sometimes my boss was too cheap to get the crane and we would drag these up the side of the house with rope...

  • Hi Andrew. Just wondering if you could tell me what size this garage is? And what size the trusses are? I’d love to build something about this size. Thank you for another awesome video!

    pappas44pappas442 oy oldin
  • Damn, we would only have to use like 1/4 of those trusses here in California.

    psygn0sispsygn0sis2 oy oldin
  • So how are they going to use all the attic space? cut a hole & make an opening in the rafter floor? That's a ton of space that can be used for storage

  • I take it that there will be a loft or storage, living area on the second level?

    sandman54913sandman549133 oy oldin
  • Why are all those blocks shot at random into the top of the trusses? Blocks go in between, not on top. Waste of time and material to install blocks on top like that. Also it causes nail damage to the trusses. Blocks get shot into from the side, not the tops and they don't get toe nailed either. So why would framers install those blocks on top of the trusses instead of just properly blocking it? Cool video minus these temp blocks.. sry. Tnx.

One just like that one you have here .Guy responds "I did it's right th..." points to an empty spot on the steep driveway. We all look down the hill and its rolling 90mph into the woods never broke anything or hurt anyone missed everyone trucks.

  • Nice, efficient way to install trusses. I've always liked Gambrel roof lines - in fact my new home has one. I wanted to maximise the useable area in the loft so I opted for 'SocketSystems' connectors which are made in the US - but the company never responded to any of my emails of phone calls - in the end I made my own. Just type in 'socketsystems' in YT and you'll see what I mean - very easy to manufacture.

  • I'll take your word on that, because if you left the hydraulic cylinders attached they why you did them especially the way on the other side of the cab with its oversized homemade washer holding it there it will fail. To bad the set up crew might of made sheathing the roof harder for themselves if what you loaded onto the rafters was meant for that purpose instead of having you come back to lift for them do they could grab it off the forks as easily as the rafters did when you brought them in bunches. Looking forward to Levis birthday and trust the old fellow is keeping an eye on things at home like the senior inspector he is..🐾🐾

  • Relearned yesterday the best thing you can learn from Andrew: don’t give up, no matter how bad things look. Figure out some options, evaluate with logic, and get it done. DIY. Won’t bother you with details, but involved a 750 four wheeler rolling over and down a straight down bank about thirty feet, then building a ramp and pulling it up with my excavator. BA (before Andrew) I would have squatted and peed when it went over and tried to figure out who to get it out for me. When I tried to jump, my foot got caught in between the peg, frame, and engine. When I finally got my foot out is when it rolled over the edge. Had to limp a 1/2 mile home to get a machine up there. Not walking today. I know that’s not that big a deal, but I’ll be 80 next month. Got you beat, Dan.
