    Ruben KelevraRuben KelevraOy oldin
  • I mean you don't need a third function. Just get a grapple bucket which opens both sides at the same time, this way you don't need to tilt the bucket anymore.

  • Why are you not using the thumb, Andrew?

  • Andrew you have a few welders & some steel in the shop. Why not make a attachment for the tractor to use skid stear grabber... Haaa

  • Yellowjackets are an excellent example of a worthless creation by a loving gawd. They have no purpose whatsoever. One got me recently in the web of my hand, between two fingers. I didn't even know the varmit was there. Maximum pain. All jellowjacket wasps need to die, NOW. Cats, too.

  • HI Andrew, greetings from NZ You already have all the gear, have the skills, I would consider running extra hydraulic line for grapple etc. And make a bobcat / skidsteer mount for you tractor (possibly canabilise and modify off a dead one ) then you can mount any of your attachments, providing you have enough hydraulic flow /pressure, if need be give this a slight bump in output, otherwise repurpose an excavator hydraulic pump externally to get decent hydraulics. Cheers

  • FYI, everythingattachments.com sells 1/3 connect for hydraulics for your tractor so you can use a grapple. I did it was very pleased with it. I also had to install a quick attach bucket that I did not have which was very easy as well.

  • Just curious, how do you decide what to charge for a basic service like this?

    Brian KowalskiBrian Kowalski9 oy oldin
    • Stuff like this ill look at it and give a set price. When a tree can hit something like a house, you can charge more than a tree that wont hit anything.

      Andrew CamarataAndrew Camarata9 oy oldin

  • I hope he did what the homeowner wanted him to do. If I had been him and she told me to "cut it off flat" instead of making a stump some two feet tall but with a flat surface, I would have thought she wanted me to cut if off even with the ground. I would love to hear other opinions. Of course there would be plenty of time after the camera was shut off for the homeowner to clarify her meaning if she didn't mean what he thought she meant.

    • The mulcher head those guys in South Carolina use for their business are very expensive to buy and to operate, without the skidsteer figure starting at $40k+ and the needed routine maintenance parts are costly. Usually guys can only financially justify and afford those good mulchers if they only do mulching all day long every day. The Chinese-copy mulchers start at around $17k+, I don't know where someone would get the replacement parts, custom made mulcher parts will break all of the time, you need factory replacement parts to stay running. In the comments to one of Andrew's videos there was a guy in Belarus (the country) encouraging Andrew to buy a mulcher head, his comments were in Russian language. I think his mulcher head was from China.

  • Good video. Loved the tractor bail out. I would suggest next time pulling anything with the tractor to run your tow line under the box scraper instead of from the top. If you chain or strap breaks it will spring back under the machine instead of at the operator. We had a chain break and almost cut the cab off because we tied off to hi and load got snagged. We got lucky, no one was hurt. Stay safe and keep the videos coming.

  • Smart, creative, always working, always thinking, vey safe and thinks of all the angles, runs the drone, soon he will be playing a guitar while he does all this stuff. What a guy. Then for relaxation he edits all the videos he takes. He doesn't stop and all in a natural easy looking way, plus doesn't get hurt! I have the greatest admiration and respect for Andrew Camarata. An easy to like person; no wonder he is so incredibly popular. Andrew, please tell us what is that you can't do? Please tell us so we can confirm that you are human.

  • Hi, if you strapped a pulley to another tree and put your strap through that, you could back the tractor away at 90 degrees to the falling tree. Much safer and you don't have to do the last minute bail out.
