  • Well, Andrew, your videos of upstate New York-- I grew up in Ithaca-- have done something I did not think was possible: they actually made me homesick. My memories of Ithaca and environs-- and its five months of gray winter-- are inextricably bound with mostly unpleasant personal memories and, except for very brief trips in connection with my parents' estates, I haven't been back or wanted to go back since completing my education more than 40 years ago.

I think he always wants to be involved in whatever it is you're doing. Cody is a great dog just like Ely is.

  • Andrew - instead of the roll-up canvas on the Hot Tub openings , I would strongly recommend ''Pergola'' , it's like an extremely heavy duty flexible woven plastic screening and it comes in many different colors . Personally , I like the Beige , it's what I use around my Porch & Patio . Nice thing about Pergola is when you're close to it , you can see through it , but someone 10 feet away cannot . Also , don't worry about the Heat or Ultra Violet rays from the Sun degrading the Pergola like it does with most plastics , mine has been installed in the Nevada desert for over 18 years and it still looks and functions just like new . < Doc > .

  • Nice mixer. That should come in handy on paying jobs. You might consider turning that water circulation input hose into a waterfall flowing down the face of the wall.

    buggsy5buggsy52 oy oldin
    • @Andrew Camarata I personally would re-contour the inlet wall a bit and cut a channel down into the tub rim a bit - maybe 4 - 6 inches. Making the channel 2 - 3 times as wide would also help a lot. It might require some experimentation, that is a pretty high GPM flow rate you have. What would be ideal is having the water come out of about a 12 inch wide slot in that rock face - by removing a layer or two of that sedimentary rock. But that is just my esthetics kicking in - the pipe hanging out there bothers me. Other than that, I love the area.

      buggsy5buggsy52 oy oldin
    • Thanks. I had it like that for a while, it was cool, but then constantly being splashed got annoying.

I am not 100% positive its hooked up right as the instructions don't make sense. IDK, I am still dealing with this. I need another pump.
